Interior Ground Floor
In March 2025, one of my best friends roped me into designing the space for her latest venture - a cafe she's opening with her dad. This dynamic duo was on a mission to caffeinate Kings Cross, London, with matcha, coffee, and pastries so fresh they practically introduce themselves!
Our challenge was to design an inviting space that stood out among numerous high street competitors. With a smaller budget but big dreams, we needed to be resourceful and innovative to attract customers and ensure they had a memorable experience.
We had a blank canvas with great potential.
The layout allowed for both indoor and outdoor seating, which was a significant advantage. I imagined cosy nooks for patrons to enjoy a book or chat over their matcha and coffee. The compact kitchen would be bustling with skilled baristas crafting delicious beverages and baked goods. With creativity and passion, we could transform this former office into a warm, welcoming cafe that the community would love.
Since opening, the cafe has boomed and gained virality on the internet. The space has been featured on multiple media outlets, such as Luxegen.
